Description
This ELEGOO five-pack contains the standard four-pin HC-SR04 ultrasonic module used by the Meow Meow Scratch parking sensor, water-tank monitor, and optional thermal-camera distance feature. Each module has VCC, TRIG, ECHO, and GND pins and measures distance by timing a 40 kHz echo pulse.

Raspberry Pi safety
Do not connect ECHO directly to a Raspberry Pi GPIO pin. The sensor is powered from 5 V and ECHO returns a 5 V signal. Follow each guide and install an exact 1 kΩ/2 kΩ voltage divider between ECHO and the Pi to reduce it to about 3.3 V. The resistor assortment listed elsewhere in this catalogue contains 2.2 kΩ—not the exact 2 kΩ part—so it is not a verified substitute for this divider.
The HC-SR04 is not weatherproof. For an outdoor water-tank installation, keep the electronics in the weatherproof enclosure described by the guide and avoid condensation or direct water exposure.
