Description
A DHT22/AM2302 breakout module for measuring temperature and relative humidity. This is the sensor type used in the Raspberry Pi weather dashboard project.
Why it fits the weather dashboard build
- It provides both temperature and humidity readings over one digital data connection.
- The module format exposes labelled power, data and ground connections for straightforward wiring.
- It works with 3.3V Raspberry Pi GPIO when wired according to the project guide.
Before buying
- Check the pin labels printed on the module before connecting power; do not rely on pin position alone.
- Position the sensor away from heat produced by the Raspberry Pi for more representative room readings.
- This sensor is not weatherproof and should not be exposed directly to rain or condensation.
