Female 2.1mm DC Barrel Jack to Screw-Terminal Adapter

Description

This small adapter converts a common 5.5 × 2.1mm DC barrel plug into separate positive and negative screw terminals. It is the missing physical connection between a barrel-plug 5V supply and the loose power wires on many WS2812B or NeoPixel strips.

Why it fits the LED projects

• It mates with a 5.5mm outer / 2.1mm inner barrel plug.
• The labelled terminals accept stripped wire without soldering.
• It makes it straightforward to connect the external supply’s positive output to strip 5V and its negative output to strip ground.

Before buying

• Use it only with a supply whose barrel dimensions, voltage and polarity match. The markings assume a centre-positive supply.
• Verify polarity with a multimeter before connecting a strip.
• The Raspberry Pi ground must also connect to the LED-strip ground, but the external 5V output should power the strip directly rather than passing through the Pi.
