PiicoDev Button

The debounced PiicoDev push-button module used as the input in the Pi Doorbell project.

Description

The PiicoDev Button provides a tactile push-button input with debouncing handled on the module. It is the exact button named by the Meow Meow Scratch Pi Doorbell project.

Compatibility

  • Connects to Raspberry Pi through the PiicoDev Adapter for Raspberry Pi and a PiicoDev cable.
  • Runs at 3.3 V and uses I²C address 0x42 by default.
  • Supports user-selectable addressing for builds with multiple buttons.
  • PiicoDev connectors are compatible with Qwiic and STEMMA QT at 3.3 V.

The supplied white button cap can be labelled or replaced. For a doorbell build, protect the electronics from weather and moisture; the bare module is not a weatherproof outdoor switch.

Included here: button module and cap only. Adapter, cable and enclosure are separate.
