Description

This Keyes KY-022 module contains the VS1838B demodulating infrared receiver named by the Meow Meow Scratch Pi IR Remote project. Its 37.9kHz centre frequency matches common 38kHz consumer remotes.

Raspberry Pi compatibility

The receiver IC is specified for 2.7–5.5V operation; power the module from 3.3V for Pi-safe output levels.
Connect signal, 3.3V and ground exactly as shown in the project wiring.
Do not follow the merchant’s Arduino-oriented 5V pin-map note when connecting directly to Raspberry Pi GPIO; Pi GPIO is not 5V tolerant.
