Description
This MPU-6050 breakout combines a 3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis gyroscope for the Raspberry Pi step-counter project.
Project compatibility
- Uses I²C address
0x68by default. - Wire VIN to the Pi’s 3.3 V rail, plus SDA, SCL and ground.
- Compatible with the CircuitPython MPU6050 library used by the guide.
Before wiring
A step counter needs threshold tuning for the wearer, mounting position and walking style. Fix the sensor firmly so it cannot swing independently. Header pins may require soldering unless a compatible STEMMA QT cable is used.
